Already 6 months into this incredible journey in Saudi Arabia with NEOM! It’s been packed with amazing experiences, personal development, travel, friendships, recreation, and challenging and fulfilling work projects.
At the recent Oxagon Townhall, I received a peer nominated recognition for Diversity, one of the six NEOM values we live and work by. The nomination stated, “This person fully engages with expats and locals in both work and social situations, he looks for any opportunities to expand his network and learn more about the Saudi culture.”

I was proud to receive this award since I’ve especially enjoyed interacting with such a diverse community, learning about Saudi (and other) cultures, and learning Arabic.
One of the many attractions to this role and move was the ability to live and work amongst such a diverse demographic. Our modest sized team are already from 11 nationalities, speaking 9 languages, and we’re due to more than triple this year! I’ve heard of figures suggesting >100 nationalities and >70 languages exist in our organisation!? Where else can you replicate this!?
This year is already off to a great start, working on some amazing projects with extremely talented colleagues and industry leaders. Plenty of exciting infrastructure, collaborations and partnerships to be announced – watch this space!
