How to install Microsoft 365 on your Mac

Office 365 arrived to Apple Mac in 2019, prior to this the Mac version of Office lacked many of the features that Windows users benefited from. If you have not installed Office apps since January 2019 it is worth following these steps to update to the latest apps.

Open the AppStore and search for Office 365.

I recommend beginning with OneDrive. Download and install OneDrive and follow the setup steps.

Sign in with your UTAS email
Choose where you want OneDrive files stored on your Mac
Confirm the location and click next
Note how file status is shown with the cloud and tick symbols

Now download and install Word.

Once launched, sign in with your UTAS email address
That’s it, you’re good to go!

Repeat this for each of the apps, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook if you’d prefer to use it instead of Mail.
